Traffic Barriers – Temporary Placement – Flat Packed to A-Frame Set-Up
A Sustainable, Durable, Mounting System
A Sustainable, Durable, Mobile Traffic Barrier
The XTYRE traffic barrier has been developed as a temporary directional barrier. When in use the traffic barrier is stable under its own weight of 32kg requiring no additional ballast. Maintenance free and simple to repair should they become damaged.
Made from post-consumer recycled tyres. Driving sustainability, circularity and adding to your ESG scorecard and goals. XTYRE’s products are fully recyclable.

Main Function And Purpose
- Temporary traffic or pedestrian directional barrier. Create best managed controlled flow and a safer operational environment.
Sustainable Innovation
- Manufactured from recycled rubber. Temporary Road Barriers consist of two panels, 1600mm wide x 1000mm high, formed under high pressure around an internal reinforced frame. The panels are hinged along the top edge to fold flat for storage or open into an inverted V-shape when in use.
- A heavy rigid construction with the outer surfaces treated with high visibility yellow paint applied as a chevron pattern on a black background, cut-outs in the panels to allow visibility through the structure.
- Due to the resilient nature of our rubber compound signage or lights can be screwed , glued, or bolted to or through the rubber.
- Can be flat-packed for economy of storage and up to 35 units (35 meters), can be transported on a one-ton vehicle.
- When in use the traffic barrier is stable under its own weight of 32kg requiring no additional ballast. Maintenance free and easy to repair should they become damaged.
- Assisting in dealing with one of the largest waste streams in the world, used scrap Tyres (of which +4billion are now manufactured per annum).
- Each barrier uses the equivalent yield of crumb rubber from 20 x used passenger tyres. 10 x barriers remove 20 cubic meter of waste tyre landfill.
- Pressed rubber barriers provide best stable footing.
- Place individually, or in a row to delineate and direct traffic or pedestrian flow.
- Flexibility resistant to expansion and contraction.
- Approximately 60 – 70 Shore hardness.
The traffic barrier is manufactured utilising a proprietary combination of waste tyre aggregate and polyurethane to mould a product with a 70-year lifespan.
