Main Function And Purpose
- Water ingress permeates your buildings copings. XTYRE’s coping tiles are mounted on top of the coping. Inter-locking dial pins enable a seamless join, sealed with an epoxy seal, where the tiles are affixed to the coping with an epoxy adhesive.
- Double drip lines catch the overflowing water so that this drip-flow is directed off your walls. No more eroding and soiling of your walls with this dirty water.
- Made from recycled rubber which is composed of a 100% recycled, shredded and granulated rubber aggregate generated from reclaimed waste rubber tyres. Loaded into a mould and bonded hydraulically to ensure consistency – the rubber coping tile is waterproof.
- Painted to resemble a clay tile or concrete tile appearance.
Benefits
- Ease of installation no scaffolding required.
- Lightweight versus concrete.
- Waterproofing qualities.
- Quicker construction and far more cost-effective installation.
- Flexibility resistant to expansion and contraction.
- Ease of maintenance.
- Fully recycled and recyclable.
- Approximately 60-70 shore hardness.
Sustainable Innovation
Manufactured using the inherent strengths of repurposed tyres, coping tiles provide the following solution.
- Assisting in dealing with one of the largest waste streams in the world, used scrap Tyres (of which +4billion A sustainable solution to water evaporation prevention.
- Producing a modular product that can withstand extreme heat and weathering.
- An ongoing pilot test with water evaporation panels has completed a full winter and summer season on a freshwater storage dam in South Africa, where both the concept and product was developed.
- Long-standing installations show no signs of wear or tear and are expected to remain as such for well over sixty years.
- The coping tile can be lightly sanded and re-painted per your maintenance program.
Applications
- Fitted to copings.
